- For the third time in four years, SpectorSoft earns a spot on the prestigious Inc 500/5000 list as one of the fastest 5000 growing private companies in America.
- Office Depot signs on to carry Spector Pro in almost 1000 superstores.
- SpectorSoft signs with partner AOS to carry a Japanese version of Spector Pro in hundreds of retail locations located in Japan.
2006
- In October 2006, SpectorSoft releases Spector Pro 6.0. This new version
includes detailed MySpace recording features, Top 10 Summary Reports, search activity reporting for all popular engines, and updated compatibility with email, webmail, chat and instant message clients to provide
parents and businesses with the most comprehensive internet monitoring software solution available from the worldwide market leader since 1999.
- In May 2006, SpectorSoft releases Spector 360 the flagship corporate networks
product for company-wide monitoring of employees offering a high-level view of their activities as they use company PCs and the Internet
2005
- For the second year in a row, Spectorsoft is named by Inc. Magazine as one of Americas 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies. Making
the Inc 500 list in two consecutive years is an accomplishment few companies have ever achieved.
- Spectorsoft products are now carried by national retailers including CompUSA, Frys, MicroCenter and Apple Stores.
- To support record revenue and employee growth, Spectorsoft moves into new 13,000 square foot headquarters.
2004
- In January 2004, SpectorSoft releases Spector Pro 5.0.
The new version adds Internet Access Blocking, P2P recording, Program Activity recording and powerful search. Spector Pro now includes seven recording tools.
- In August 2004, PC Magazine awards Spector Pro the
Editor's Choice Award for the second time stating, "Spector Pro offers the most powerful and complete assortment of monitoring and reporting tools."
- In October 2004, Spectorsoft was named as one of the 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America by Inc. Magazine in its
annual Inc. 500 ranking. Spectorsoft is ranked 224th on the Inc. 500 list. The ranking covers annual growth rate spanning a four-year period from 2000 to 2003, during which time Spectorsofts annual growth
rate averaged 163 percent.
2003
- SpectorSoft releases Spector CNE - Corporate Network Edition, a robust corporate version of the awarding-winning Spector Pro.
Spector CNE features the advanced monitoring and recording features of Spector Pro plus the additional benefit of network installation, configuartion and management tools.
2002
- In July 2002, PC Magazine awards Spector Pro their coveted
Editor's Choice Award.
- In August 2002, SpectorSoft released eBlaster 3.0. The new
eBlaster made significant enhancements to the original product including the ability to automatically forward a copy of every email received on the PC.
2001
- SpectorSoft introduces a radically enchanced version of their flagship product, now called Spector
Professional Edition.
- Spector Pro greatly enhances the amount and detail of activity recorded - including a world's first - the ability to record internet-based email services
such as Hotmail, Yahoo mail and AOL email.
- SpectorSoft releases Spector for Mac OS 9 - the first visual
internet surveillance tool for the Macintosh computer platform.
2000
- SpectorSoft releases a follow-up product called eBlaster, the
first remote internet monitoring tool that sends reports directly to you via email.
1999
- The company's first product, Spector, is released in early 1999.
- Spector receives rave reviews from the critics (including 6 top awards from ZDNET, PC Computing, Kim Komando and REG.NET).
- Spector becomes the world's leading visual internet surveillance tool.
